Review
The little robot companion feature is at the heart of the Tobi 2 Robot. For added whimsy and fun, this AI robot has two short arms and legs that move around the watch face. This adorable Tobi robot is programmed with over 100 playful actions and interactions that children adore. Tobi can also be fed and have his own room, making the Tobi watch feel like a cross between an electronic pet and a kids’ learning tablet.
Suitable for kids up to 12
The Tobi is intended for children aged 4 to 8, but it is also popular with older children. This can be attributed to Tobi’s diverse games and features, which make it enjoyable based on their various interests. There’s something for every kid, from learning to tell time to active games and even video production.
Two cameras and plenty of storage
There are two onboard cameras, each with a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels for photos and 320 by 240 pixels for video. The first camera, which is mounted on the face, is motion-activated and designed primarily for selfies. The second is an outward-facing P.O.V. camera along the top edge, which is better for filming the rest of the world. Your children can practice taking photos or videos with the smartwatch. To transfer photos, use the included USB cable to connect the watch to a computer. Delete the files from the watch itself to free up storage space. The file quality isn’t great, but it’s good enough for a kid’s smartwatch.
Limited communication with other Tobi Robot watches
Two Tobi 2 robot smartwatches can be paired together to give kids the thrill of swapping emojis. The controlled pairing, on the other hand, takes place over Bluetooth, so they can only share things if they’re within 50 feet of each other. After about 15 seconds, the transferred media file will vanish from their friends’ nearby Tobi Robot Smartwatch.
Comfortable
The Tobi Robot 2 is purposefully oversized, like a lot of kid-friendly technology. The LED touchscreen face isn’t much bigger than a regular smartwatch face at 1.5 inches by 1.75 inches, but the housing around it extends to accommodate the metal flippers that the Tobi robot displays when seeking attention. The strap is also comfortable, simple to put on, and adjustable enough to be worn for an extended period of time.
Movement motivation
The Tobi 2 Robot Smartwatch, like any good fitness tracker, is designed to get you moving. It has a built-in pedometer that tracks your steps and rewards you with unlockable “Tobi World” room decorations, which you can use to decorate various rooms that Tobi will visit. The watch can also remind you to take a deep breath, which is beneficial to your health. While it does not monitor your oxygen levels like Amazfit Bip U Pro, it does encourage wearers to breathe slowly and steadily by having them imitate Tobi.
Interactive robot
Tobi 2 Robot Smartwatch has a lot of personalities. It speaks gibberish, giggles, and has over 100 expressions. There’s also a calculator, stopwatch, timer, alarm clock, calendar, reminders, and over 50 watch faces to choose from.
Fantastic games
To keep kids entertained, moving, and learning, the watch includes a variety of brain, arcade, and fitness games.
Parental supervision
Parents must consider how much they want their children to be exposed to such a small screen. The best way to keep control is to set a daily time limit. Set screen time limits and approve wireless internet connections. Limiting play time is simple with parental controls.
