Kate Spade collaborated with Fossil on the Scallop 2, which features the same technology found in other new-generation Fossil and Fossil-made smartwatches released this year. Along with the latest version of Google’s Wear OS, the device includes a heart rate sensor, NFC for Google Pay contactless payments, GPS, and swim-proof water resistance. It’s a major improvement over previous models, and when combined with the rotating crown, it’s considerably easier to use than older watches.
Similar design to previous generations
The rotating digital crown, which allows you to swiftly navigate through the Wear OS menus, is also discreet and tactile. However, the button has detracted from the original’s pristine appearance. The smartwatch is still 42mm in diameter and comes in a rose-gold or silver-and-gold casing, with a scallop design around the bezel on both. The watch, on the other hand, might be made smaller to fit better.
Customizable faces
You may customize your clock face to match your outfits and accessories with Kate Spade’s “Choose your look” micro-app. Kate Spade’s spring line of apparel will look great with the Scallop Smartwatch 2.
Wear OS available
The smartwatch also comes with the latest version of Wear OS, which is a good improvement because it makes it much easier to navigate the software.

Because the Kate Spade Scallop 2 has NFC, it can accept contactless payments and is hence compatible with Google Pay.
Fitness features available
There’s a full GPS, a swim-proof design (3ATM water resistance), and a heart rate monitor for fitness. Alternatively, you can get a heart rate reading by pressing the spade icon at the watch’s 12 o’clock position, which will display an animation of hearts and spades on the screen before telling you how fast your heart is pounding.
Extended battery life
In terms of battery life, Fossil claims that a single charge would last between one and two days. However, with normal use, the battery won’t last more than a day, especially if you utilize more of the phone’s features, such as GPS and Bluetooth audio streaming. Fast charging is available on the Scallop 2.
Good screen and responsive interface
The 1.2-inch screen is the appropriate size, and despite having an outdated Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 engine, the UI is smooth and snappy, resulting in a commendable performance.
