Fossil Men's Gen 4 Sport Heart Rate Metal and Silicone Touchscreen Smartwatch, Color: Grey, Blue (FTW4021)
Review
The Fossil Gen 4 wristwatch has a lot of capabilities that its predecessor lacked, making it a worthwhile upgrade for anyone looking for a heart rate monitor, NFC payment compatibility, and GPS movement tracking.
Supported by Google’s Wear OS
These smartwatches are compatible with iPhone and Android phones and run on Google’s Wear OS. The smartwatch can send and receive texts once it is linked. Wear OS also allows third-party programs to be downloaded to the smartwatch at any time.
Great Display
The conventional style of the Fossil Gen 4 is both gorgeous and elegant. During standby/sleep mode, the screen will be black. The touchscreen is AMOLED and has a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. When you wish to alter up the screen, you can choose from a variety of faces.
Average battery life
The Fossil Gen 4 is unique in that it allows you to choose which battery mode you want it to run on, with options like “Daily” for one-day battery life, “Extended” for slightly longer battery life, and “Custom” for choosing which sensors or features to keep on. With features like this, you’ll have a lot more control over how the watch works, which will improve the battery life of the Fossil Gen 4. The typical battery life of the Gen 4 is one to two days, depending on usage.
Unstable connection
The smartwatch keeps disconnecting from the network, which makes it difficult to use.
Software responds too slowly
One disadvantage of the watch is that the features are not designed to be user-friendly while accessing apps. When asked to execute, the software also takes too long to answer.
Built-in Google Assistant
When you need something online, the built-in Google Assistant gives you your own personal Google right on your wrist. If you plan to go shopping after your workout, you won’t need to bring your wallet. Using a swipe of the wrist, you can pay with Google Pay. However, there is no built-in speaker.
Fitness features available
While you work out, the Fossil Gen 4 smartwatch automatically records and measures your heart rate and other information. However, certain crucial fitness functions, such as blood pressure monitoring, are still missing.
