Review
With its metallic frame and curved rear cover, the Realme Watch 3 exudes a sense of elegance and superior quality. It has a lot of helpful features, including 110+ sports modes, a battery life of up to 7 days, an accelerometer, a 24-hour heart rate monitor, and a SpO2 sensor. Additionally, it connects to Android and iOS devices using Bluetooth 5.3.
realme watch 3 Lightweight and comfortable to wear
Though the body is still entirely plastic, the Realme Watch 3 looks more premium than its predecessor. It weighs just 40 grams with the 22mm interchangeable strap, making it comfortable to carry all day. The strap is made of skin-friendly material, and the quality of the strap is good. Its glossy body, however attracts fingerprints.
Nice display
The 1.8-inch 2.5D big color curved display with 240286 pixels on the Realme watch 3 looks stunning and feels great on the wrist. The Watch 3’s LCD display prevents Always on Display (AoD) capability from being used. Additionally, the screen doesn’t automatically adjust its brightness, so you’ll have to choose it yourself. For this, there are four brightness settings. Utilizing the touch screen is easy.
IP68 water and dust resistant
While Realme Watch 3 is IP68 water and dust resistant, the device is unsuitable for showers and swimming.
Health and sports tracking available
The Realme Watch 3 offers continuous SpO2 tracking, stress and sleep monitoring, and heart rate monitoring around the clock.
In addition, the watch tracks more than 110 sports and activities. 16 sports modes can be active simultaneously on the watch, and switching between them involves opening the Realme Link app on your phone.
Running and cycling produce unique workout outcomes that help you attain new target goals and set your exercise intensity level. To help you gauge how effective your workout was, the watch also recommends recuperation durations based on your most recent workout and VO2 max measurements.
Although the watch has assisted GPS support from the phone, it lacks a built-in GPS receiver. If you need GPS data for outdoor activities, you must bring your phone with you.
When compared to the RealMe watch 2 from the previous generation, the health tracking function also performs admirably.
Plenty of watch faces
Realme Watch 3 also offers over 100 watch faces via the Link app that sync to the watch in a matter of seconds; however, you can only have four watch faces on the watch at a time though, and you’ll have to delete existing ones if you want to add more.
Smart features available
The watch also has many useful features like an alarm, weather widget, reminders app, music controls, and the ability to act as a Bluetooth camera shutter.
Bluetooth calling available
The main highlight of the smartwatch is the built-in calling feature, since it has a microphone and a speaker. It shows a call log, and there is even a dial pad, in addition to the contacts option which you can add from the app. Bluetooth calling was not available on prior Realme Watch models.
Its speaker, though, is problematic; while the microphone on the Realme watch is excellent, the speaker isn’t. It works well indoors, especially when it’s quiet, but because the speaker doesn’t go very loud, it becomes difficult to hear someone if you’re in a crowded area.
Due to its reliance on Bluetooth, it is also SIM card incompatible. To use the calling capability, you must have your smartphone with you constantly.
No onboard storage
Given the watch’s built-in speaker, having user-accessible storage to store music or other files would have been a good feature.
Good battery life
Realme claims that the Watch’s 340mAh battery would last up to 7 days when the 24-hour heart rate tracking feature is turned on. It features a magnetic charging dock, so you can use a power bank in low-power mode or even plug it into a USB port on a computer or laptop.
Works with android and iOS
Through its accompanying Realme Link app, the Realme Watch 3 can be used with both Android and iOS devices. It runs on a bespoke operating system. To utilize the smartwatch, you must first download the RealMe Link from the app shop or play store. Despite the fact that it is only compatible with iOS 11+ & Android 5.1+ devices, the RealMe Link app is well-organized and you won’t have any issues while using it. Additionally, iPhones’ speakers and microphone aren’t the best. There are no frame drops or lags when using the software, which is quite fluid.
