Emporio Armani Touchscreen Smartwatch 3 – Matte Black Stainless Steel
Review
The Armani brand exudes elegance, and the Emporio Armani 3 watch is no exception. It’s impressive enough to give as a present. It also comes with a handy zip-up case for storage.
Display with a high resolution
The screen on the Emporio Armani smartwatch 3 is a 1.28-inch AMOLED display with a 390 x 390 resolution and 328 pixels per inch. Under direct sunlight, it is sharp and readable.
Built-in speakers
There’s a built-in speaker and Google Assistant responses, so you can take calls without touching your phone. The watch includes a loudspeaker and a microphone. It acts as a voice receiver and transmitter to the connected smartwatch.
Long battery life
The Emporio Armani Smartwatch 3 promises a long battery life thanks to its extra battery modes.
Google wear OS onboard
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 platform powers the Smartwatch 3. It runs Google’s Wear OS. The watch has an operating system that is very similar to Android, with access to the Google Play Store and Google Assistant. You must have a phone that runs Android OS 6.0+ or iOS 10+ as a bare minimum. Support for Samsung is currently unavailable.
Battery-extending modes
The Smartwatch 3 has a battery-extension mode where specific features are disabled to ensure the battery lasts longer. Extended Mode disables the always-on display, sound, Wi-Fi, heart rate tracking, tilt and touch to wake the screen, and voice control, as well as restricts Bluetooth connectivity to 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Waterproof
This device has waterproofing for a water level of up to 30 meters. This allows you to walk in the rain or wash your hands without difficulty.
It’s more suitable for men
The Emporio Armani Smartwatch 3 is a unisex watch, but it’s a little too big on a female wrist, and even the rubber strap is too big for a comfortable fit on a slender wrist.
No standout features
The Emporio Armani Smartwatch 3 is understated to the point of being boring, and it lacks personality. The strap is two straight pieces of rubber, the buttons are smooth, and the bezel is a black, slightly angled border — and no one notices. Unless you look closely at the crown, there’s nothing obvious about it that connects it to the desirable Emporio Armani brand.
Not standalone
The limitation is that it is not stand-alone, and you must have your phone within range and connected to use this function.
